Sterling Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is an organization that has been around for more than 100 years and consists of more than 1.7 million Catholic men who have dedicated themselves to the ideals of the Knights Charity, unity, Fraternity, and patriotism.

The original founders of the organization chose the name because, as a Catholic group, it should relate to Christopher Columbus, the Catholic discoverer of America.  They chose “Knights” to signify that the membership embodied knightly ideals of spirituality and service to God, Church, country, and fellowman.  Throughout its history, the Knights of Columbus have been an advocate and defender of religious and civil rights for all. The Sterling Council  concentrates on supporting organizations that support the handicapped.

The Sterling Council #662 meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00pm in KC meeting room in St. Mary School in Sterling. See the bulletin for details each month.
